A fun read!

It seems that every time Rachael Anderson writes a romance, her stories become more stellar than the last one. And this is entirely true with this amazing book! First of all, there is nothing inappropriate in this book--you always know exactly what you are getting with one of her romances. What I did not expect was the spell-binding romance that had me quivering from the inside out and the laugh-out-loud humor (I indeed struggled during one of the latter moments in the book because I was in a classroom of teenagers--I had to conceal my giggles!)
Although this book is a sweet romance with tantalizing characters and an upbeat theme, don't let that keep you from devouring it. It is a quick read that will permit you to escape the doldrums of life for a few short hours. I highly recommend this book (and all books by this author).

Great series.

This is one of my favorite series. I've read the first two books and am currently reading the third. I received them in exchange for honest reviews, which didn't influence my ratings. I can't wait to read more of Rachael's works. If you love a fun, sweet, clean romance, you should pick up this set. Once you read the first book, you'll be eager to read the others.

Fun, Sweet RomCom series

Book 1 - Prejudice Meets Pride
I really enjoyed this sweet romance. Emma is pride personified. Having been raised by parents who worked for non-profit charitable organizations and relied on donations for their own survival, as an adult Emma refuses to accept any kind of handout - even if someone's just trying to be nice and lend a helping hand. Kevin is the personification of prejudiced. Like many people, he makes snap judgments on appearances before he gets to know Emma. However, the two can't help but cross each other's paths since Emma moved into the house next door to Kevin. With a little help from Emma's cute nieces and the friendly family across the street love begins to bloom between the two neighbors and once they start getting to know one another, they can't resist the attraction for long.
Rachel Anderson has written a fun contemporary romance that echos some of the themes from Austen's original novel of a similar name. In my opinion it's not your typical P&P retelling, it's a fun and enjoyable contemporary read that I was easily swept away in and can truly see it playing out in reality.
Book 2 - Rough Around the Edges Meets Refined
I absolutely loved this book! Noah's story was such an enjoyable read. Noah's has had his fair share of ups & downs - perhaps more downs than he deserved. But, he's settled into life in Colorado with his two young daughters and his sister & brother-in-law living next door.
Even though Cassie was raised in a big loving family, her marriage to Landon was anything but happy. After he passed away in a car accident, Cassie finds herself struggling to rediscover the woman she was prior to her difficult marriage.
This unlikely couple have a rocky start, but through time, patience, and compromise the two discover together what a truly fullfilling relationship can be. I loved that this story explored some realistic difficulties that couples can encounter as they begin to develop a relationship. Noah & Cassie were both affected by their past relationships and experiences - this brought some emotional & psychological depth to the story that is not always found in short contemporary romances.
Book 3 - Stick in the Mud Meets Spontaneity
The story of Sam & Colton is nothing short of adorable.
As the third book in the "Meet Your Match" series, readers have come to know and love the fun and spontaneous Sam. She's been away at college and is now home for the summer before heading to New York for her new job as a graphic designer. She has plans to spend the summer having fun with Kajsha and Adi, but she quickly realizes that her plans aren't going to come to fruition as she thought.
Colton McCoy is our stubborn young cowboy who has been teaching Kajsha all about horses. He quite the determined young man and has his work cut out for himself this summer as he trains a wild mustang, moves out of his parents' house, and tries to win the heart of the beautiful Sam. The chemistry and connection between the two is undeniable, and yet Sam can't give up her new job in New York just as Colton can't leave the ranch in Colorado. What is a young couple to do when it seems their relationship is doomed to fail despite their feelings for each other?
I loved this sweet romance - it's light-hearted and fun, but the characters deal with some very real struggles and work to find solutions that allow them to be true to themselves and each other. A great read for a summer day.
