He loosened his necktie and ran a frustrated hand through his dark hair. Even though it was wildly inappropriate given the situation, I couldn't help but find him even more alluring when angry than when he was calm and collected. He seemed simultaneously capable of anything and yet in control. I got the sudden and very strange insight that he had probably been the type to get into a lot of trouble when he was younger.

He turned back to look at me and caught me staring. His eyes locked to mine, freezing me in place, and I watched a faintly appraising look come into his face.

"Well what are we going to do about this?" he asked.

The question sounded rhetorical, so I watched him without answering.

"Tell me," he said, walking over to lean against the desk only a couple feet from me. "What is it exactly you told people I did?"

Hi! I am Richard Shepherd a 53 year old South Australian. This is my first book which has taken almost 10 years to write. My Interest in opal was sparked when I was a teen going to school. The explanation of opal formation in science class simply did not make sense. It was from this moment that I decided to do my own research and discover the real truth about opal origins. My research continued on and off all these years, culminating in this book. "The Birth of Opal" reveals both the natural and synthetic processes of opal genesis. It also covers the controversial "Len Cram" method revealing his secret electrolyte. I plan to use the finance raised by "The Birth of Opal" to change careers entering the field of Invention with the goal of producing Green Technology to help save the world, by reducing Global warming. Essential book for the beginning brushless motor designer.

If you are trying to design a DC brushless motor from near scratch, this is the book. While the introductory magnetic theory is just ok, the later chapters on radial and axial flux design are fantastic. It is definitely the right book for beginning motor designers, and a good start for designers interested in creating magnetic circuit models.

This is the only book on the subject that I have found that provides understandable explanations and useable equations. If you need to buy just one book on how to design brushless PM motors, then this is the one. It stands head and shoulders above all the others I've tried to use.

outstanding book

This is an excellent book to see NORMAL anatomy. Dr Czervionke has done a great job showing relationships at differing levels of the spine. He has used T1, T2 and cadaveric cuts all in black and white to show the same "slice" with different imaging modalities. It is a terrific book for those who don't need a lot of text. Also very good for final brushing up before exams-- can be used like flash cards
