Lovely book!

This book is enchanting! Offers an alternative to the many commercialized, media-linked books that dominate the children's media market. Subtly teaches children the lifecycle of a butterfly in a way that preserves the awe, reverence, and magic of childhood.

For a little older children

This is a very nice book with lots of beautiful illustrations and my son and I enjoy reading this book. The only problem that I have with it for now is that the book is made for a little bit older children than the other Sibylle Von Olfers books, like "The Story Of The Wind Children" or "The Story Of The Snow Children" etc. This book seems to fit better kids of age 6 and older, even so, we do enjoy the illustrations.

The whole series is absolutely delightful! They please not only the eye of a child, but an adult as well. The stories are captivating and the illustrations are mesmerizing. I am taken with it all....
