succinct but full of content

master choa, in his own unique style, gives us an understanding of esoteric concepts like the three permanent seeds so succinctly and yet with so much understanding that we really get it. I also love chapter 18 where he talks about the virtues that we can use to guide us in our daily lives. thus, though he talks about higher teachings, he provides us a structured way to live them. that is the beauty of his teachings.

The product description provides a worthwhile evaluation of this book. It does what it says it will do. If you want something more technical, you’ll have to look elsewhere. I do tend to disagree with Jordan that roboticists are making too many decisions and the public is being left out. I largely disagree in that the market will provide the feedback he wants to see; even with government decisions. What I see missing from this discussion, and most such discussions on the topic, is how robots will affect humans. A little comes at the end with descriptions of how robots become companions of people, but the deeper implications of this side of the equation are not explored.

The Marxist tradition views exploitation as a phenomenon that results from economic and social systems of oppression. By contrast, the liberal tradition frames the phenomenon as reducible to impaired consent or unfair pricing in various transactions. Exploitation: From Practice to Theory challenges the two main frameworks that dominate the literature, showing how exploitation can both recognize systematic or structural issues while acknowledging how transactions can generate and sustain exploitative practices. Cards as a business is a lifestyle

While I have not finished this helpful and informative book, I have learned that you have to give to get. The author seems to have given away hundreds of cards by giving them as thank yous and even in paying bills! So people who got her work liked it and this built a base for her to launch sales from. I need to read more, of course, but from this beginning it seems you need to totally be involved vs being a weekend or part time effort. This is the theme of working hard is in other "how to" card business books too. It takes work and lots of it. But work is not enough. It is smart work and this book tells you the smart way to keep working toward a goal.

I like to make greeting cards so I purchased Unusual Ways to Market Your Greeting Cards and 22 Places to Get Your Designs Featured by Kate Harper. I found many unique ideas in this 20-page booklet. This article is a compilation of unusual ways the author has used to market and promote her own cards.

Ms.Harper believes your best advertising is your cards. She started out sending cards out with her bills. She sent the dentist a card with her payment for his services. She sent the bank a card with her deposits. She took advantage of every opportunity to get her cards into the hands of potential customers.

The author suggests that card designers hand out greeting cards instead of business cards. A postcard could be designed with a sample of your artwork or a special verse. If the cards are attractive or have a witty quotation on them, people tend to keep them around longer and share them with others. The author emphasizes that you should always include your logo and contact information on the back of the card.

The second half of this booklet is a list of 22 trade publications and design blogs related to the gift and greeting card industry. This list includes specific submission guidelines and contact information for each publication. This is a real gold mine of useful resources.

This booklet is a real bargain for $0.99. I loved it!
